This Privacy Policy describes how the Salesforce Limit Checker Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles your information. Your privacy is paramount, and the extension is designed to be as transparent and secure as possible.

1. Overview

Salesforce Limit Checker is a developer tool. It operates entirely within your browser. It does not have a backend server, and it does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any third parties.

2. Information Access and Usage

Salesforce Session Tokens: To function, the extension accesses your active Salesforce session cookies (specifically the sid). This token is used locally to authenticate calls to the Salesforce REST API limits endpoint.
Organization Data: The limit data retrieved (e.g., API usage, storage limits) is displayed in the Chrome Side Panel and is never saved, logged, or sent to any external server.

3. Permissions Justification

The extension requests the following permissions only to fulfill its core functionality:

cookies: To retrieve session IDs for authentication with Salesforce.
tabs / activeTab: To identify which Salesforce instance you are currently using.
storage: To remember your UI preferences (like dark mode or sort order) locally.
Host Permissions: To allow the extension to communicate directly with your specific Salesforce .my.salesforce.com instance.

4. Data Security

All communication occurs over encrypted HTTPS directly between your browser and Salesforce's official API servers. Because there is no intermediary server, your session tokens never leave your local environment.

5. Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising scripts.
